I attained position on google first page after 8 months struggle

I thank every one who directly or indirectly helped in attaining this feat ....

At the same time a small issue is bothering me a lot ....though i am on 9th position i am still nt getting much traffic ...on an average 54 per day and the keyword is "gourmet coffee" which has 22000 count. and the site is www.coffeebreakusa.com.

suggestions are most welcome

 

I have noticed that if you could get to position 1 to 3, you will get massive traffic from it. As it did for mysite.

So in this case, you could get more inbound links to get yoursite to top of the page. Believe me, it all worth it.

You don't seem to have a H1 tag in place on your homepage. Add "Gourmet coffee" on top as H1 and it will surely help you. You should also use H2, H3 and adding these on all pages will also help you. One more thing: your SE friendly urls would be better if they contained some keywords. All these add up.

One more thing: your term is not "that" popular and traffic increases exponentially as you go towards the page top.

no worries .....have patience ......you will see that your traffic will increase gradually and by the way why did you place such a big flash file on your home page ...


i suggest you to look into this issue since it might help you to little extent

 

thanks for the sugggestion mate ......bt i cant remove the flash file since it has been requested by the client...

so is there any other alternative apart from palcing H1 tags as suggested by one of our DP friend (coz i am currently working on it)

Its also depends on popularity of the keywords (how many times that keyword was searched on Google) as well as CTR (Click through Rate). CTR depends on the position of your keyword and Title/Description.

Positioning on top page of google doesn't mean that you will get high traffic, but it can help. I suggest you to go on forums that is related to your site which you think you can get your targeted visitors.
