Has anyone here ever gotten on the wrong train?

    I’m on one now!

I was in MTL on business and got to the train station. All trains late. Hear the announcement for my train. Go out to the correct letter and wait. The train comes. THe conductor says are you in Coach 3. I say of course. I sprint on and find one of the only outlets. Yes I like the internet that much.

So everything is cool until he comes for my ticket… I’m on the EXPRESS TO TORONTO! Thats 5 hours away from where I live!!

Of course I pick the train with NO stops. Now I’m getting into Toronto at 9:40 and flying home on the redeye. Than proceeding to my car at the train station and driving home. I also just found out there was a fatality on the tracks so I have to take a bus from Cobourg 1 hour outside of Toronto. What next!?

Just curious if anyone else has ever had an “interesting” travel experience like this.

I've lived and worked all over Europe, and English is my only language.

I used to get on the wrong train all of the time. :D

Wow that's really bad. Toronto close to where I live! Yikes, I guess the worst is the one train you took.

Long. Not even where you wanted to go. No stops.

    What a story.

I'm still on the train. I hope I'll be at Union Station in 15-20 min. My flight leaves in 1.5 hours and the airport isn't close!

Ah!... from union station to the Pearson international airport you need atleast.. one hour to be safe.. (It is far, it's not even in Toronto, it's Mississauga:confused: I just learnt that this year lol). Hopefully you can get a shuttle to the airport, it's faster. DO NOT take the subway and then bus (you'll miss your flight!)

    Happened to me once lmao
I had gone to a native place to visit my uncle's daughter's wedding. When I always go there, I travel a train named "Devigiri" which leaves at 9 pm. So I didnt look at the ticket properly and just boarded the train whicle I wanted to return to my city. Then when the conductor came he told me "You are on the wrong train but on the right seat" *rofl lmao*.Those were the holidays so it was difficult to get confirmed tickets, and the agent didnt tell me that I have a return ticket of a different train which leaves at 6pm. So I had to pay a heavy fine and then I travelled the whole night just sitting on a corner of a seat with no sleep :(
That is something I will never forget.

    Regards,
    Kulwinder.
