compar, close to half the people indicted in nearly every one of these cases are the doctors writing the prescriptions - real doctors, that reviewed medical information and issued real prescriptions. read some of the indictments. they aren't always based on federal laws (which to my knowledge don't yet exist to cover doctor's consult in relation to a prescription). most i've seen are based on state laws that would just as easily apply to both controls and non-controls. not trying to be a dick, just saying it's not as cut and dry as you portray.
can't post live links, so might be easier to suggest you pop over to usdoj.gov, click press room in the upper left nav and search for pharmacy. you'll get the actual legal language of indictments, sentences, etc. also, be warned, when they do move on these companies, the first thing they do is seize accounts, so don't expect that last check...or any warning...or even any communication whatsoever. searchjustice.usdoj.gov/search?q=pharmacy&btnG=Search&q=inurl%3A%2Fopa%2Fpr&sort=date%3AD%3AL%3Ad1&output=xml_no_dtd&ie=iso-8859-1&oe=UTF-8&client=default_frontend&proxystylesheet=default_frontend&site=default_collection
I recieved and email from rxpayouts regarding my question above, here is what they wrote: What you guys think?
I just read this on the Department of justice site: Kolowich, the owner of World Express RX, previously pled guilty to conspiring to sell counterfeit pharmaceuticals, commit mail fraud, and smuggle pharmaceuticals, and conspiracy to launder money. In a related case in the Southern District of Florida, Kolowich pled guilty to conspiring to import unapproved drugs into the United States, introducing such drugs in interstate commerce, and smuggling unapproved drugs into the United States. It doesn't say anything about the legality of an Internet Pharmacy. Are you guys suggesting that all Internet paharmacies are guilty of these things?
More from the Department of Justice: Four individuals and a pharmaceutical supply firm have been charged in connection with illegally offering prescription drugs over the Internet to consumers, the Justice Department and the United States Food and Drug Administration announced today. The indictment alleges conspiracy, mail fraud, violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), obstruction of justice and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Nowhere does this say it is illegal to sell drugs over the Internet. It says that these guys were doing so in an illegal manner.
More from the Department of Justice: WALGREEN CO. PAYS $7.6 MILLION TO SETTLE FALSE CLAIMS CASE COMPANY IS FIRST TO SETTLE CLAIMS OF BILLING FEDERAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAMS FOR FULL AMOUNT OF PRESCRIPTIONS THAT WERE PARTIALLY FILLED WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Department of Justice announced today that Walgreen Co., an Illinois-based national retail pharmacy chain operating as Walgreens, has paid the United States and participating states $7.6 million to resolve allegations of falsely submitting prescription claims to state Medicaid programs, Tricare Management Activity, and the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program. So does this mean that none of you naysays would open a Walgreen's drug store. Come on guys read the damn indictments and give us a break. You are condeming and entire industry because of a few bad players.
No one is condeming anyone. We simply debating over two sides of the issue. Nothing is wrong with that. If everything was so nice and clear people wouldn't be questioning online pharmacy affiliate business.
look, do what you wanna' do. i've been down that road, had my life turned upside down, been dragged before a grand jury, had friends go to jail, had to turn over records, lost a pile of money, been questioned about a bunch of other affiliates, etc, etc, etc, etc. guess i have no idea from whence i speak. good for you. don't like my advice, don't take it. i'm done.
This happen to you with pharmacy website? But anyway its been 3 weeks, and I'm still trying to get my payment from this pharmacy.
Are you talking about getting paid from RXPayout? If so I think there must be some problem with your Admin payment setup. I've been paid by bank transfer and am currently using the ePassporte ATM card and there has never been a real problem. They are occasionally a day late. Have you written the affiliate manager about this problem?
