This is very interesting. I was thinking about starting a celeb site myself. I checked those sites in the list, but only 3 of them were using adsense or I couldn't see them anywhere. Also, isn't heavy supposed to be like youtube? Wouldn't G need to ban youtube then if they ban heavy?
Its only wrong to my knowledge when your website is 99% porn and drug related. Celeb blogs and websites are news/entertainment related and doesnt fall under any illigal/porn websites. But yes, you do get people that builds their Celeb website around porn ... I love it LOL
There are beaver pix of Britney? Was this before or after rehab? What's the point of this thread? Why do you care if someone is not following Google Adsense rules and regulations to the letter? Are you the Adsense constable? Seriously...just make your websites, push the Adsense envelope if you want to...if you get over, props to you...if you don't, start another account and make a different website. Steve
Google usually place/provide ads according to the content of the web page.It is done by the google robot/crawl.For eg: if robot found a word " Proxy " then it will took some adwords that match with proxy and put it in ur site.So if they found some words which is against TOS then it will stop putting ads and put some free public ads ........... !
With my what? I am sorry but I have been on bed for the last 5 days and feeling terribly sick so I can't recall this OP thing and hanging out on DP has been one of the only activities that I have been doing (except of coughing my lungs out!)
Steve, the point of this thread is pretty simple... IF you want to see it and nobody around here is a Google Constable (not that I know of any) (it would be cool to have one though). The point of this thread is to understand what makes Google ban a few websites with adult content and not ban the others. This way, we all get to find and learn how Google looks at different websites and this information can come very useful in the future. Who knows maybe in future, I would like to start a celebrity blog, or maybe it would be you and God forbid, you may end up having your AdSense account suspended/banned because of a simple mistake that you did unintentionally or thinking that it wouldn't matter as other websites do the same yet they still have AdSense running on them. As for your Britney Beaver pics question, they came out before the-in-and-out-and-then-in-again-and-out-and-then-in-again rehab saga.
There is always this way. Google doesnt ban those who give them good profits though whatever the niche is. Have you heard anyone saying that they were making 1000 or 5k or more a month got banned from adsense? I dont think ever. Only some like making some 100 or 50 or more get banned due to invalid clicks. And maybe... google cares for those who help them more? 2 sites above mentioned did not have adsense, but one of them had that looked like it shouldn;t be according to google TOS. Now Only google knows why!
firs of all celeb blogs have very lowww cpm ask me i got one ur right i had the same Q...but u know it really depends on google i really belive google has double standards...they ban one site claiming to be in voilation of TOS and i see 100s of same sites running adsense i duno wht da heck google is upto
I am really not sure about the CPM of Celebrity Blogs and it would be very helpful if someone here tells me but I guess that you may be experiencing even lower cpc cuz your blog got Bollywood stuff. I don't think that bolywood blogs would pay as much as hollywood related blogs would?
It all depends on your traffic and what keywords your optimizing for. I get clicks anywhere from 0.03-0.50.
@FanAddict: Would you be kind enough to tell me what is highest paying keyword? No no, i don't do MFA and I am not that kinda guy but still... I'd be nice to know that and I am feeling ultra lazy to chech the Average CPC using Google tools hehehe
i have a celeb blog. no nudity and no curse words other than the comments that people keep posting. i have seen and reported celeb blog with lots of nudity and guess what?. Once i reported them to Google the ads were gone within a week.
Keep up the good work Reporting people violating the TOS, is the only way us small publishers can keep making a living!
