Ok, this is not, I repeat not a PR update. This thread is only meant for those who have been aware of the fact that there has been a set of Google datacenters that G has been unable to update/synchronize since this past summer. This is something that has caused quite a few false starts on PR update threads. I just checked, and as of today ALL datacenters now appear to be in sync. I checked multiple pages on multiple sites, using raketforskning, digpagerank, and seobench. If this is not something you were aware of then it does not impact you. If you thought that the green bar in your browser was jumping around on a day to day basis, and you did not do heavy hallucinogenics when you were younger, then you should now notice this shifting stop. Additionally, I would like to say that this thread is also not intended for anyone who does not care about PageRank. If that is the case, good for you, but wtf are you doing reading any thread with PageRank in the title if that is the case? If you are only here to flame, please don't. Thank you. -Michael
Yes Michael, thats correct.. it has stopped. I was getting paranoid due to the sudden drop in toolbar PR that happened every now and then.
So pagerank is in sync, but what about keyword position. I checked a bunch of datacenters and my keyword is showing up as #1 but is 86 in keyword tracker.
I dunno, there's a lot of Data Centers you know - more than show up on DigPageRank and similar tools. Hold on to your hats for the next PR update. I predict it will begin in 35 days, 11 hours and 25 minutes time.
CountryBoy is right .... there are more amount DCs than you think. For sure your endlesspoetry.com PR=5 but there are often some slow motion DC-servers appear old PRs and the situation is normal for G. I think.
No, I know how many dc's there are. I checked a ton of them. What I also did was to post several posts back that it had gone back to the way it was before, and that the original post was no longer the case it was when posted. When I reported they were in sync, trust me, they were. To those who replied after that it looks like they read the first post and then replied, ignoring the rest of the thread. -Michael
Excellent, the discrepancies would cause a lot of people to feel uneasy. I never really paid a whole lot of attention.
It's not that they were slow about syncing, from what I heard G couldn't get them to update at all. I have no idea why that would be though, or why they would have fixed it and then a few hours later put it back where it was. -Michael
