3 days a go, I hire someone to do bulletin service to 12K of his friends. Turn out to be not a good investment.

After 3 days, i checked my stat and Do not see any increase in the traffic.

So i assume that myspace advertising i.e. myspace bulletin DOEs not work.

Maybe it doesn't work for you.... or who knows maybe he just scammed you.
If it didn't work then there wouldn't be any people taking this service.

Not that I use it but you can't jump to conclusions just because you had one (1) bad experience.

I'd never buy such advertisement, also I saw there is a spam protection on myspace itself with them bulletins, do people who post ads cheating it ?

This is kind of correct I think. I recently did a test of such a service and found all the bulletins that were generated got "chopped" up by some sort of program within myspace. Not a wise move to purchase this type of advertising. Most don't read bulletins anyway.

I have sold bulletins in the past and they can work very well. But alot depends on the target audience, the way the bulletin is worded(so it doesnt sound spammy) and the time of day it is sent.

Some bulletins I sent out to a 6k account only recieved 1-2 hits, however, some buyers reported they had earned back their money within minutes of the bulletin being sent.

It very much depends on the bulletin sent out and the target audience.

I think bulletins work well. I did how ever notice with large amount of friends most of them will surely be whored friends. Try doing it with a smaller number of friends.

Every bulletin I've sold in the past got a nice traffic increase.

I think there is A LOT of factors in myspace bulletin advertising.

    1)Audience
    2)Interval Between Bulletins
    3)How many friends
    4)How many friends are real
    5)How honest is the service
    5)much more...

    :)

You guys have to look at the big picture here! I offer bulletin service and it's really hit or miss on traffic! The best you can hope for is 1% click, and I get this all the time! I offer bulletins to 25k, so you would hope for anything up to 250 uniques/visits would be good!

Also, these are not direct messages to myspace users! They are a side ad that people send to their friends and only viewed when the other persons friend sees it!

When you buy bulletin services, I would not go with anything under 25k, as numbers count and do wonders when using bulletins!
