    It was just released a few hours ago. Microsoft Vista has been cracked by the hacker group Pantheon.

    This flaw will be close to impossible to fix as the exploit uses the fact that OEM versions do not require any activation process at all.

    Actually the fix would be pretty easy from a technical standpoint, but socially unacceptable as there are many legit customers who bought the OEM version of Vista and which would be deprived from the product they bought.

    This is why I think that this flaw is impossible to fix.

    Vista has been cracked ? For real huh ... I thought MS had put a lot of work into Vista. Oh well, not surprising ... that's why I am not getting Vista just yet.

    OEM versions do have activation - I have two copies and both needed activating.

    This was just coming :)... There were many workarounds flouting on the internet like the timer stop and 2099... but this seems to be more like the final nail in the coffin ;)...... or is it?

    It was only a matter of time. Nothing is uncrackable.

    Microsoft= Pwnt
    1. Very low sales for Vista (around 60% lower than they expected during the launch)

    2. Minutes after Vista was released, 6 months of protection programming was cracked.

    3. Within days around 25+ different groups released different ways of cracking Vista protection.

    4. No usable Nvidia/Ati driver yet.

    5.Free Programs released on the web which converts XP nearly to vista(features wise)

    6. Disappointing of Office 2007

    = R.i.P Microsoft.

    Now i'm using vista. I liked it. In my computer it's faster than xp. I established my hardwares, too many hardware company relased new drivers for that. It has too many options. I'm still using office 2003 with vista. All of my programs still working gr8. I stopped using xp after using vista. And I think don't listen everyone. Firstly try it and then decide it. I was thinking it will be bad before installing vista. but i saw the truth. Vista is the best
