Colours are fine I think. I think you should change the banner like you are thinking about doing. It doesn't have that 'something'. It's a bit plain-Jane. Also the little emoticons next to the posts do not load for me. Good luck with the site, keep up the good work!

I really like the navigation bar on top, but for the header, I think it could be redesigned (maybe something more white and glossy like your bars above).
I like the colours and images etc, maybe the shading on the forum sections is a bit much? Hurts your eyes a little bit when you scroll down...not sure if the titles of the sections stand out too well from the shading. Overall looks a really nice template though EDIT: Sorry one more thing, is the talkstuff header at the top finished? It seems a bit plain with the space in the middle, can't you bring the main navigation bar down into the middle of this header? And then just get rid of the green bit at the top of the page? My opinion anyway
greeen and blue does not look good together . i ithink you must focus on blue or green. if you choose green , use green tones for all your site
I think it looks fine though, I don't see a problem with the colours. But that's me! it's the users what have the say. Thank you for your feedback!
I agree with trichnosis about the green. It seems to me those big green bars cause some eyestrain. Maybe a color between blue and green would work better for those bars. To make it more like DP forums, where things blend. I like the skin overall--that color contrast is just a bit harsh.
