Which is the best State in the United States

As an Australian yet to visit or live in the U.S.A. I want to start a debate/fight - to all American's please tell my which is the best state in the USA and why?

 

California, in my opinion.

 

delaware, because we got the best beaches and no taxes

I doubt California is the best state... and I live here!

 

Which city?

 

Hah... San Diego, actually.

 

Based on weather - California
Based on geographic features - California, Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado
Based on job opportunities - California
Based on real estate appreciation - California
Based on traffic - anywhere but California
Based on tourist activities - California, Florida (if you go when it's not 90 deg F and 100% humidity)

But if you are from Australia (I'm guessing NSW or Victoria) southern California may look a little familiar or Florida might look a little to familiar if you're from northern Queensland. Thanks for the provocation.

California or New York, obviously. Pick a coast, don't live in the heartland.

 

Seattle, WA - nice place to live, in a nice state

Ohio - good football, good baseball, good beer (home of Sam Adams beer)

 

I heard New York is the best.

Florida!!! Great weather. Cool Tourist Sites...Great Cuisines...Great Cruises...

 

I think Nevada is the best because they have Las Vegas! Love that city!!!
