301 redirect passes on link juice right?

    Just a quick question...

    If I have site1.com and site2.com

and I want to use site2.com, but site1.com already has lots of links built... if I redirect site1.com using a 301 to site2.com then site2 will recieve all the link weight that site1 had right?

    Thanks,
    Pete

It will take a while before the new site has the rating the old site had though, even with 301 redirects.

Yep, it'll pass everything, visitors, links and pagerank.

If you have deep links coming into the site, try to redirect on a page by page basis so you can send visitors and links to relevant pages rather than all to the new index page.

lol! i dont think it will work these days, it is the trick blackhatseo did to steal pagerank and do a drain in search result. This bug is already fixed by google.

You're talking about something completely different.
