    my mom and i once found a wallet .. we send it bak to the owner via mail and they send us $50 just as a result of honesty because we didn't do anything with their cash in it or anything

    we should have exploding wallets, wallets that sense evil people and explode upon contact. :)

    seriously though, i think it depends on people's financial needs at the time they find a wallet. dignity sometimes takes the backseat when hungry stomachs grumble, and you can't blame them.

    Wow... morals are obviously going down the tubes. Elderly people were much more likely to return the wallet, and almost half of the younger people who found the wallet didn't. Thats just disgusting.
