looking for software

I have just started using a new web site builder that does not require html but it can be used. I like this site builder because I do not know html but it can be pasted in to it. Apparently I need software or some other source for sizing graphics I know nothing about doing this kind of thing so I need something that will give me an idea of what it will be like when the graphic is added because when I use anyting with pixel measurements or any other method that uses some kind of technical measurement I can't figure our how big it needs to be. Can anyone recommend something cheap or even free that would help me in the way a beginner needs help with this kind of thing.

    Try this:

    http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

It is GIMP. I cannot say that I have ever used it...but I have heard that it is resaonably good. It also satisfies your requirement of being cheap. Download it for free and give it a try (and then let us know if it is any good!).

If you never used graphics software, don't go with GIMP, it is too complicated to you.

The good choices are photofiltre, photobie and paint.net. I know Photobie very well LOL, if you need help with it, just drop me a PM

    Good luck

You may use MS Frontpage also.

These are the bits to use. I support. GIMP is nice (when used for amateur purposes) but very beginner-unfriendly.

Everyone, try NOT to use Microsoft Frontpage for any image editing. You'll tend to destroy the image (looks too pixelate and squarish). The best and easiest software for anybody without any graphic designing background would be to edit your picture first in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It's already packed together with your OS if ur using XP.

Open the JPEG file you want to edit --> click "Edit Picture" at the toolbar (another toolbar will pop-up on your right) --> click resize and you'll see "Size setting summary" at the bottom of the list. Edit your picture and it will automatically change.

Hope this will help! Some green rep. is very much appreciated! :D (I'm vain!)
