Islamic LAW?

    Whats wrong with it?

Saudi-Arabia has it imposed at its full (like some other Arab countries) and its one of the countries with lowest crime rate.

Why people are affraid of it?

I don't see a reason for govt. to feed a murderer for life from tax payers money. Just chop his head off do the justice head for head, eye for an eye. Why waste money on him when that money can be put to some other good work?

what about women's rights? I like the fact my wife can wear short shorts or a bikini and can have a job where she makes more than I do...but I guess none of that matters if women are inferior...

Does the topic state women's right? Please don't go off topic.

If you want to discuss women's right start a new thread or we can discuss it in PMs. Totally upto you.

Your talkin; about islamic law. You can't cherry pick what you'd like to discuss and what you wouldn't.

Are you okay with people being beheaded, staked in the middle of a city for everyone to see?

Are you okay with women being raped, and needing to come up with multiple witnesses to testify that she isn't the criminal?

Are you okay with people being murdered for converting away from islam?

Are you okay with non-islamic people paying extra taxes and being subservient to the islamic people?

Are you okay with honor killings?

    I could go on. ;)

the dude sent me a pm discussing women's rights and how burqa's don't lead to rape as bikini's do....however, it has been shown that men disguised in burqa's will plant bombs or blow themselves up...the pics were posted last week sometime....

islamic law includes women's rights...i was not going off topic.

Law and Rights are two different things.

Actually I am. I don't want to feed a murderer from my pocket for rest of his life. Let make an example out of him so people watching his beheading get a lesson and they think a million time before even try to commit muder in their dreams, yet in the real life.

that was for old days. These days DNA test is sufficient to put the rapest to death. Again make a public example out of him so other won't dare to do that.

I have a friend in Marryland, USA. She get complete bycott from his family when she accepted Islam, they didn't even attend her when she was seriously Ill. She belongs to a religious chirstian family, her father is a preist or something in a church. Do you want me to count it towards christian religion or individual act?

    which country you talking about?

I have heard and seen many criminals get assualted in the court in USA from victims family members. If i hurt your child in anyway won't you get angry and try to kill me or get revenge in any other way? It has nothing to do with honor. There is no honour killing in Islamic law. There is no personal punishment only the court can do that.

please go on, no one is stopping you and no one can :)

 So, what you are really saying is that its okay to oppress women and you don't want to talk about it.

The sweet smell of brutality. At least we get it out of the way quickly. Are you also okay with chopping off hands of people who steal? Public stonings? And all that good stuff?

    Yeah. I think last year.

    http://www.iranfocus.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5183

Somalia. Before the Ethopians kicked them out. You should really read about Shari'a before talking about it. Dhimmi status is part of it ;)

    http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/world/20070224-1654-pakistan-honorkillings.html

    There is, apparently.

honor killing. killing women who have sex outside marriage. killing women who are seen talking to men they are not married with. it may not have anything to do with "honor" but that's whats its called.

If you love islamic law; there are plenty of countries that practice it. Feel free to live up your freedoms; if you have any.

and those individuals can be charged accordingly...however, unlike islam they will not be killed just for opening their mouths...how many people did saddam kill for opening their mouths, under "islamic law"?

To be a muslim, I am finding that you really don't know that much about the global state of your religion...maybe you should try doing your research on it a little more...

you forgot to quote following :) taking things out of context is bad you know. You quoted that I like to see a murderer get beheaded but you forgot to quote why I said that:
And these capital panishments are for the professional theives or for intentional murders. Not for accedental murders or people whole steal because of hunger etc.

What was that girl doing with a knife in her purse? According to her there was another girl whom she allegidly try to safe from the rape, did that other girl said anything about the rape? you are seeing one side of the story on that website. Courts get to hear both sides of the story.

I don't have any knowledge of current affairs of that part of the world so can't say anything about it at the moment.

As I said earlier thats the murderers side of story or excuse "honor killing" but they are arrested for the charge of murder and will get what they deserve.

So, there is a conceivable circumstance where a rape victim should be killed for being raped? If she has a knife on her?

Oh my. You are making a great case for islamic law here.

You really should. Wherever islamic law is imposed, death follows. It's like a natural order of things.

Iraq don't have islamic Law, Iraq was tilted more towards communisum under Sadam's rule. Maybe you should do some research for yourself too.

And again those were individual acts for which he got what he deserved.

So saddam didn't worship Allah? Saddam didn't have any influence from Islam at all? Communism is similar to what saddam had, but it is not the same...Saddam let his citizens own things...there are plenty of other examples about how saddam was not communist...as well as how islam influenced how he ruled....sorry buddy...proved you wrong again. Nice try though, keep it up, this is fun.

A mass murderer rules USA dosent means that his every action goes towards christianity though he said that he is a very strong christian. You can't count individual acts towards the religion.
