UK Ltd registration (fees, procedure, ...)

    I am not from UK and I would like to set up Uk Ltd. I have option to get help of company from my country, but it will cost me 1300 GBP + 1160 GBP every year (Nominee shareholder 300 per year, Annual fees-registered agent/office, local secreatary 400, Apostille 180, Courier 80, Certificate of Good Standing 200).

    I was looking at prices in http://www.wsr-corporation.com and are much lower. But now I am wondering how is with support with those internet agencies. Has anybody any experiences?

    How difficults can be all tax reports, opening bank account etc. if I choose agency like WRS. Do you think is worth to pay 1300 GBP + 1000 GBP every year to get perfect support or not, how easy can be all procedure?

    why do you want to register a ltd in the UK as opposed to your own country?

    £1300 seems very steep when it can be done for under £100 as a resident..

    I had to set up another Ltd company yesterday for a joint venture. it cost me £25 electronic filing.

    As commented above, it's quite cheap as a UK resident to setup a company. Looks like the additional costs for nominees, local agents and establishing good standing are what's pushing up the costs. I guess you'll have to swallow those costs unless you can get a UK resident to act more cheaply for you.

    so what can be normal price (including all costs) if you are not UK resident? Is any huge difference comparing with 1300 GBP?

    It is not just a matter of cost, there are legal procedures and laws that must
    be adhered to.

    UK registered office. The company name must be displayed there at the registered office. There must be two officers who should be UK residents, there must also be a company secretary (although one of the officers can do this). The company secretary is responsible for ensuring accurate records are kept and that the company fulfills its legal obligations.

    So as you can see, cost is not the main factor.

    yes, but all that can be count as cost. There are companies which provide you for determined price a virtual office, company secretary, nominee etc. In my case that would cost me 1300 GBP, including registration. So here is a question if anybody know any trustful company which provide all that for better price.

    1160 GBP is utterly ridiculous. Registration for me was about EUR 400 and I pay an annual fee of about EUR 200 so they keep the office there alive and give me a company secretary because I'm doing this alone. I did this with a German company so this might not help you much beyond showing you what you should expect.

    I actually placed the order with wsr-corporation.com first and then at the same day I found a local company that's doing the same thing and cheaper so I went with them. I have to say what I experienced with wsr-corporation.com was reaaaaally good. They have awesome customer service and are super friendly and really patient. I have no doubt that you would have no regrets if you deal with them.

    By the way, you don't need a bank account in the UK. You only need one where you live (assuming you want to do business where you live).

    Thank you for that info! We are going to do business world-wide, so we probably need UK bank account. Does that price also including nominee shareholder, apostille and courier?

    Be aware however that Ltd Companies in the Uk pay tax at UK rates. Seriously now take some financial advice from a UK accountant or specialist company, as it might end up costing you a lot.

    That's not true. You also don't need UK residents.

    If you don't do business in the UK you can send the UK tax office a notice that you won't have to pay taxes in the UK and that's it. The company who registered my Ltd. even did this for me.

    I agree with your statement, but the reason he wants a UK company is because he IS going to trade in the Uk. Hence my statement :)

    As everyone else has said you can actually do this online for less than £100.
    I would seriously take independent advice from another source, as that does sound extortionately high.

    All I can find is that he said he wants a UK Ltd., which doesn't mean he wants to do business there. Or maybe I missed that statement where he said that.

    We are going to do some business also in UK. But I was thinking about one solution to cut costs and taxes:

    We would corporate with France company. So every global business would go through our company, excepting UK makret. Any UK costumers would pay to France company which will be representative for UK market. Do you think that could work out? Is it legal?

    What's the point in making it so complicated? You can't get much better than a LLC.
