I have heard that you can turn off the "Advertise on this site" link in your google ads, but I can't see where. Anyone have any experience with turning off this feature in your ads?

    Exactly ;)

Also it takes a while to come into effect.. maximum 24 hours. (I found this when I made the changes.. so just be patient :))

It's very rare ;) removing it allowed you to blend your ads in your site better, therefore more clicks!

Exactly! The probability of getting higher CTRs by turning of the function is much more higher. But it also depends on your sites design and ad placements etc...

savy adwords users can still advertise on the site. So you may not end up losing money on it anyhow.

Thanks for the instructions and the comments were excellent. I want to turn it off for the reasons stated above. I think that it will be more beneficial for me do do some direct advertiser negotiations in the future.:)

I agree. Even though people have been saying that "advertise on this site" is beneficial and allows advertisers to target your site, I haven't heard that publishers do get benefits from it.
