As the title goes...share what percentage of your phpld directory is in google's supplemental index. From which page of the site: command results do the supplementals begin ? Any pattern or trend in the url structure you notice for the supplementals?
Just a tip: if you want to view only your supplemental results, you can use this command: site:www.yoursite.com *** -sljktf Take the number you get from that and divide by the number you get from: site:www.yoursite.com and you will get the percentage of pages in supplemental hell.
You may not get alot of anwsers on this one mainly because some consider supplemental results to be a bad thing. However, some directories are so strong the these results really do not mean anything. Moreover these result pages can still recieve good page rank on them. A few examples from directories with supplemental results but still have page rank on the supplemental result page. Aviva (click see the amount of supplemental results) Page =www.avivadirectory.com/branding/ - 54k - Supplemental Result (pr6) eWebpages Page =www.ewebpages.org/Business/Resources/ - 8k - Supplemental Result (pr4) Alive Page =www.alivedirectory.com/Shopping/Office_Products/ (pr4) The only supplemental results index-it.net has come from some of the new submit pages I launched awhile back, other than that the site is clean.
onlinedude: Thanks for the tip, I'll be adding on to my webdirectory list the percentage of supplemental results vs. non-supplemental results
Well, when I search for supplemental results using - site:www.wowdirectory.info *** -sljktf On page 1 it says 264 results. On page 4-5 it says 400 results then it says 560 , 672, 750 etc results. Which one is the correct one ?
For dirspace directory it's only 0,07% siteresults, supplemental. I´ve explained more about the supplemental results in this thread..
The only one of mine with 0% is my small html directory with top level categories http://www.addyourownpage.com
