Do you get eye strains?

Since many of us are on our computers for hours doing work (or you should be ;)) do any of you experience eye strains also (your eye muscles are strained, they feel tried out and are very aggrevating).

I don't know what happened but I've been having them recently and I haven't even increased the amount of time I've been on the computer...

Any tips to decrease it? I've read about using eyedrops (works temporarily only), taking breaks every few minutes to focus on other objects and blinking simultaneously.

I just take a break. There's really not a whole lot more you can do.

Get a new monitor??? I had a 17" BenQ which to be honest was quite crap gave me alot of bother even for sitting at it for an hour so I got a new 19" LG and it hasn't given me any bother since.

Yes I do. Taking breaks helps but I always forget. Having a LCD like I do now is a big help too.

Just take some break after a few hours. Anything that is too much is bad for you. :)

I got a black screen in front of my Monitor which prevents my eyes from being strained :)
I think this the cheapest and fastest way of preventing these things ;)

So the black screen makes the monitor darker? If I set my monitor's brightness to a darker one it will help prevent eye strains? :)

For contacts wearers? What type is that? I just have eye drops that are like artifical tear drops.

It is really annoying when I have to work many hours straight to finish work:(

Put a clear screen in front of your monitor, like they do at some libraries. It helps quite a bit.

I also look outside every half hour or so to prevent eye strain.

No it doesn't make the Monitor Darker you can set the brightness as default and use the Black screen
