In what time should a website be created in?

Assuming I have a client for whom I have to make a website for...in what amount of time should I finish the website so I won't lose my clients?

it all depends on the needs of your client and your efficiency; If he wants more and more from you then it would take same extra time but as time passes and you get experience in your projects done, you will be completing jobs in less time.

I usually finish in about an hour including re-edits to their satisfaction but it depends how efficient and fast you are.

 

omg....i'm not that fast....it would take me a day to finish a website which let's say, has 10 web pages...

The faster you can finish it the better. But make sure you make everything how the client wants it. Don't rush it.

The most annoying thing for a Client is when he waits and waits.

I think it really depends on what the client wants from you, I've had jobs that have spanned weeks and I know larger jobs for big firms can take up to several months.

For your general more "run of the mill" type job your going to want to have it completed in around a week really.

 

It depends on the complexity of the site.

 

Even if the customer wants it fast.. as long as he pays good cash.. I think you can take care of it.

 

3-6 days for a medium site

2 minth for a complex one

 

I think quality is better than quantity..make sure your worksheet is totally depends on what your clients need.

 

Make sure you also keep the client in the loop....I always start with a base, and then go from there tweaking depending on how the client wants the site...I don't like doing a whole bunch of designing to just be told its not what they were looking for.

a month would be way too long (if it's a 10 page site). I would say a maximum of 3 days for a 10 page site.. depends on how picky the client is though

A good website takes more than just a few days, 2 weeks min.

 

I have to disagree because it depends on how efficient the website designer can take. Also, sites can be completed in a day if they work hours on it.. the total hours that a designer can complete a site determine's their speed.

 

totally agreed... keep in mind don compromiswe over costumer satisfaction ask him to wait a bit AND GIVE HIM BEST RESULTS

 

If you compelete a website in a day, its going to end up being cr@p.

I have experience in this field my friend. 1-2 weeks at the least for a good website.
