Signed up two days ago, activated today :) Though I did meet their original criteria, just hadn't heard of them before to sign up!

    Let's see how it goes!

Yeah I got in with under. I had about 60K in Feb but I had a forum installed which accounted for most the views. I no longer have the forum though and they still let me in :)

2 weeks and 3 emails later I finally got accepted. Started placing the code.

Question for the experts: Does that javascript really have to be at the very end of the page just before the closing </b> tag? I don't have an included footer on most of my pages so it would be more convenient to put the code in another include file.

I'm assuming they want it at the end of the page so the script runs after all the page content has already loaded. So if I included it somewhere else that is not quite the end of the page but after all the content it should still be ok. What do you think?

Edit: Of course I meant the closing </body> tag. Too hasty in my typing (no wonder my code is so buggy).

I submitted 8 more sites of mine and got approved for all of them. Added code on all of them. Half of them are showing good CTR and revenue, but other half is just useless. So I think I will remove it from them.

200 impressions are showing up so far but not clicks/revenue.

Do you need to have individual sites approved. Is it not like adsense in this regard?

I'm noticing a trend and though, it may be a fluke.. I do wonder:

for the past 5 days, I've been mousing over (note: NOT CLICKING) ads a certain number of times a day, and every day, Kontera shows me that the exact same number of times I mouse over, I've had the same number of "clicks".

Is there potentially a flaw with them/coding?

Has anyone noticed that if you have a CSS rule for IMG, that it appears that the Konera ads inherits that. I.e. if you default the IMG size to say, 400x300, that is what shows up?

Also, any feedback on what works best for optimization of these - i.e. they show up as double-blue lines ... does it makes any sense to change that color or just leave as-is?

No. After you have got approved for your first site and wants to put it to other sites as well, you need to mail them with the list of your other sites. They will add them.

When I am surfing the web, I am put-off by "in text" advertising. I am concerned about alienating visitors to my website.

Has anyone noted a change in visitor activity after installing Kontera ads? Lower PV per visit? Fewer return visitors? Shorter time spent on your website? Have you heard any visitor complains?

I notice you can control how many Kontera ads run on a page. The default is five, but five looks a lot different on 200 words than on 2000 words. I am curious how many ads are people running and how many words your pages generally run?

Has anyone tried toning down the color of the Kontera links? For my taste, they stick out too much. Again, I am worried about my visitors' experience on my site.

Despite my concerns, all the positive feedback so far has convinced me to give Kontera a try. So I would be really interested in feedback on the visitor experience.

Got my first partial day stats for Kontera. Not bad. But something very strange and disturbing. As soon as the Kontera ads started showing my Adsense CPC dropped by 40%. Coincidence? Maybe. I'll let it run as it is for a while and if things remain the same I'll do some experiments.

Actually, I like this style of advertising better than the Adsense style. It takes less space on the page and isn't in your face. You know there is an ad for that double-underlined keyword but you don't have to see it unless you mouse over it. Then it pops up a larger ad with more information. I like it.

I had some clicks yesterday! :)

Ended up with an ecpm of $0.69 which isn't bad is it? Higher than I get with any other ad networks that's for sure.

I'm going to change the colour of my links and I want to display more per page. Anyone know how to change the number of links?

Day 2 stats and it looks like my Adsense CTR is taking a hit. Other posters said they noticed little or no impact on their Adsense stats. And I'm still wondering if the sudden drop in Adsense CPC is a coincidence or somehow related to the in-text ads now appearing.
