    Hi,

I was wondering how often you change your content on your Web pages? If this question has been answered before, please just send me to the posting.
    Thanks! Lisa :)

I add content on a regular basis, but I will update existing content especially on key landing pages.

Whenever I find outdated information, I update it accordingly too. So, my site are in a constant state of flux.

:) OK so I guess I should have reworded my question. So you update and add new content on a regular basis so the search engines are looking for the new stuff.

    I think I got it!

Well, both actually. Because I maintain an authority site, it is important that the information provided by accurate and relevant. I don't worry about how the search engines look at the page -- they don't understand content -- but in changing each page I get the extra benefit of getting the search engines bots to pay my site a visit.

I do the same thing. I add as much content as I can to keep my site fresh, but I also go back once every couple months and update any outdated content, or add to it - just to keep it from going stale.

OK, I need to get more on top of my site(s) and post content. I am a copywriter so you would think it would be easy to provide copy for my own sites! I appreciate everyone's help and answering my questions as I have learned so much from this forum.

It reminds me of when you go on one of these job sites like CareerBuilder and update your resume, then all of a sudden your resume is being picked up by the recruiters. Would that be a good analogy?

I am def going to add content everyday, especially on my new site since I have a lot of copy written about education and see how it goes.

Again, THANK YOU ALL, you are wonderful, patient and so helpful! :)

My content is updated atleast once a month (because I'm so busy with other projects) I know it should be changed more often however. A change daily sounds ideal.

Another quick question: what about for a brand new site? Should I not change the content for a week so it gets established in the search engines?

PearlyWrites, instead of changing contents, why not add contents on a frequent, regular basis? Unless you are running sites like fan sites where information tends to be changed rather than added, changing contents should be secondary to adding new contents ;)

You are correct! I keep saying changing when I mean add new content.
OK, so should I wait to add new content if the site was just put up yesterday?
    Thanks!
