Does anyone know a very good template integration of Vbulletin forums and Adsense?

What optimisation tricks do you have as regards forums?

Where is the best place to place adsense?

What ad types work the best on vbulletin?

    fyi, you're in one

one banner at the top, link ads between posts, and one at the bottom if you prefer. you can also have them at the sides, i'm not sure if that's useful or not

Take it easy though... don't make your forums too cluttered.

I have seen ads on sides and top and bottom. I thought i was only person who posts ads on bottom of page.

Ads between post are a little harder to do than top and bottom but you can do it.

    lumargin,

    here are the placements..

    1. between forum listings - have 3 blocks.. you can include the forum id's ..
    2. thread listings - 3 per page, changed to show 20 threads per page , have 1, 5 ,10 .. show the ads after 1st, 5th and 10th threads listings
    3. on thread detail, one after the first post and the other at the end

you can even include one in footer or header for thread detail page

    Thanks ,

I was going to post that. :p From the people I know who use vB, they all use vB Ad Management. It is really easy to setup and really customizable. I think for a quick and easy way to get ads running, then that would be the best choice. Then again, I have never had enough money to run vB myself, but I have seen it first hand. :p

A big thing is though, don't clutter your forums with to many ads. It is a real turn off.

    I use vbBannerRotator by Frapegliko.

It is very simple - let's you have 10 ads changed into a "variable".

Add the variable anywhere into any template, and the ads show up.

Oh, sweet Jesus, do you have to jump into EVERY thread with your goddamn sales pitches?

I don't CARE what vBSEO can do for $150 - vB Ad Management does all of that for nothing. And everything else that vBSEO does for $150 that has any value whatsoever can be done for free with another add-on or a minor tweak.

Take your interminable sales pitches and make a bloody infomercial! Maybe it will help some poor insomniac get to sleep at 4 in the morning some day.

    Highly unlikely. Now go away.

Mate sorry to bug you but how does this work? How can I implement mod-rewrites with a 'minor tweak'......anything to save some extra bucks goes a long way ;)
