That's a relative statement, it really depends on the niche of links your looking for. I've found it to be much less expensive, when I consider my time involved on these forums looking for a quality link.

This is true but I've exhausted the resources on DP for relevant sites. I'm looking into the various services now but they are a bit pricey. Still, not out of reach when there are no options.

I'm not sure where else I'd go besides DP (SP too) and TLA. I've messed with some other text link brokers but they've been shady, so tread carefully.

 

one thing you could try is, use technorati.com, and try and find some blogs that are related to whatever your website offers. Once you find some, you could contact the blog owners direct and offer them money in return for some links.
