I have a question many say "PR" is not important would you care if your PR always = 0 anyway my question is "what does it mean if your PR=0"
It just means that you have no PR. Either the site is too new and it wasn't indexed or there was no PR update since the site was established, or that you don't have enough incoming links to be worth any PR.
Hexytrordinary is correct. Sometimes pages rank doesn't matter. I have a couple of sites that have a PR of 1 or 2 that kick the snot out of PR 4,5, and 6 sites.
I dont care if my is site is PR0 and alexa better than 10k Otherwise PR 0 = time to do link building and promotion.
You have PR0 because you don't have more quality backlinks or your site has no text content. But as of now it's no longer important as long as your site can get high traffic.
Ok, I'm new to this forums, sorry for the stupid question: What does PR 0 mean from AdSense point of view? Any chance of getting ANY income?
It has no relevancy with Adsense. But high PR site ranks high in google search - so you can get traffic if you have more PR
content has nothing to do with PR. a PR of zero actually means a pagerank of < 1 the last time they updated the tool bar page rank. If its in the index then your PR > 0. Google constantly updates its own value of the page what you see is a snapshot taken at an instant of time in the past. Don't worry about it.
high PR related site can give you a good pr.. getting 1 quality link is equal to 100 normal links... a scale of 1 to 10 gives rate on how important your site is. keep getting links and it will help a lot.
A low page rank means that your site does not have many backlinks. It could be new, it could be old. Start building links with your targetted anch. text, and you will your traffic going up
PR=0 means long way to go dude. have to increase back links, inbound links, proper keywords etc. keep working hard.
Simply put, higher PR, more traffic. Page Rank will often determine where you rank on Google. Why does that matter, well for starters google delivers more traffic than anyone. Yeah, Alexa rankings are cool but they really have no value. Example I have a site with a 32k alexa. All and all, not great but not bad. For over 3 years, it's ranged from 50k to 30k and just about everywhere in between. Didn't mean very much. Up until the last update, I had a PR0 on this site as didn't concern much over PR and back links. I would see an average of 1 click a day from google and probably 1 a week from Yahoo and MSN. However, after a lot of work and effort, got it from a PR0 to a PR6. Now, I see between 10 and 15 clicks a day from Google which are often very high in terms of conversion as people are searching for very specific keywords. Hope this helps.
if you mention about a new site , it's normal to have pr 0 . but if you mean 3 years old web site , you have to worry . this means you have not quality backlinks and you will not get good serp results and it's time to build strong backlinks for your site
No interest is probably not the right term here. It may have a different meaning in the case - you haven't done enough website promotion and normally, as a result, nobody shows around to require backlinks. If you are more insistent, frequently updating and getting into new contacts, page ranking would definitely change.
although many people say that PR is not that important, for me it is a factor for your site. If you have a high PR, then you got a reputable site. you can get high PR through link building, but always make sure that you link with reputable sites.
I think you should try link building and types of submission to get the PR ...on doing good work on your site then you will get the PR more than 0 for sure.... Regards Puneet M
