Yahoo Domains any good?

Yahoo is offering 2.99/year for first year for a new domain. How is this offer? I saw a couple of reviews online that Yahoo had alot of problems with domain transfer and charging credit cards even after the expiry, any truth to these complains?

    Thanks.

I transfered .coms out with no problems before EPP codes were required. Once you transfer out you have to go into your Yahoo control panel and cancel your service - otherwise they will keep billing...but you can email & get them to reverse the charges.
My main problem with Yahoo is that you cannot initiate a renewal on your own. They automatically bill your credit card on file about a month before expiry.

Yahoo doesn't offer internal push, does it? It's pretty inconvenient without that service.

    What is internal push?

So should I go for the 2.99 deal or not?

It's basically transferring a domain to another account within the same registrar.

Yes, they don't offer internal domain transfers (push) between members. That's why not many use them.

No internal pushes and they don't allow multiple domains anymore (they used to; I snagged about 300 at 1.99 and 2.99). Overall, the interface isn't too bad, but you will pay 9.95 after the first domain....

What do you mean by "they don't allow multiple domains"?

They used to allow you to register as many domains as you wanted at the promo price, but they aren't doing that now. I have a few hundred domains with them that I got when they were. Now, when I try to register a new domain, it tells me that the special is for new customers only. I looked into it a bit and found their section in the faq that used to tell you that you could register as many as you want is now gone. After the first domain, it is 9.95 each.

Actually, I have transferred domains out of yahoo without any problem. The only problem is that you don't have the option for an internal push.
