Brand new Dmoz Resource zone project launched, for webmasters....

I wouldnt be surprised if they open it up again as a desperate measure to save their precious forums.

 

Honestly, even if they open it up, it'll be the service that counts.

This is coming from a person who never even joined their forum. Well okay, I did once about 2.5 years ago to get a status check and got no response. After that I just browsed around some topics....and topic after topic, you can get the impression that most of them (not all) were assh*les. And the non-editors who sided with DMOZ editors were just suck ups...but then there were the little brave ones behind their computers asking questions and commenting on things that editors always defended.

Just don't become like that. If your editors who participate on your new dmoz-resource-zone keep it real, your site will be 10x better then theirs.

Anyways we will try our best not to provide the same awful experience that few might have faced at RZ, we got good editors on forums like ivan(although X, but he has good knowledge of sites and stuff), minstrel(although not editor but is mature and can address your issues plus i think is physcratic can provide free advise ),and other editors like michael,skunky , annie , dmzscrooge provide good amount of information, so as long as editors like helping out webmasters it shall remain a resourceful place...

Its another place for volunteers who like helping out others,just like dmoz runs on volunteers , we will be running with support of webmasters and volunteers.
