He claims he should have said "sacrificed." The Republican party hasn't been his biggest fan for awhile now.

Bingo: Just another reinforcement that the dems do not care about our troops; they just hate Bush and want them outa Iraq so the terrorists can kill us over here instead of over there.

Well Saddam murdered around 2 million in under 30 years. And those are just the ones we know about.

The left likes to pretend it cares but really they just care about themselves. "As long as they're not killing Americans, I don't care how many people they've killed." - typical bleeding heart lefty

McCain is a republican and a vietnam vet.

Oh, see? To the libs, it's the Iraqis that are the terrorists...

Well let's see... based on terrorists in general, several thousand. What's your point?

The left is still confused by this war. They think it's just about oil and Americans.

We're saving countless Iraqi lives daily and have made countless terrorists extinct. That in turn has saved lives from around the world.

Nobody cares about that though because it can't be quantified. It's impossible to know how many French/Spanish/etc people that terrorist we killed would have killed had we not stomped all over their sandbox.

The left thinks that just because they finally pulled their head out of their butt and took a look around that the terrorists have only recently been slaughtering people around the world.

It really irks them that we've finally made them deal with reality that's been going on for decades.

So your theory is that the terrorist are migrating or being drawn to Iraq to fight US soldiers thus protecting us from harm back here on the home front? Kinda like one of those zappers for insects, it draws them over to the light to keep them off your porch and in your face? Do I got you right?

McCain is right. Imagine the 135,000 hunting terrorists instead of trying to stabilize a country which was stabilized under Saddam...
The war against terror would have been over for a while already..

What does it mean that their lives were wasted?

Obama believes that the war should never have happened. So for him, "wasted" means that they died for nothing. That's obviously very screwed up considering he thinks we should deal with Africa to stop the bloodshed but apparently does not feel Saddam's murder machine needed to be stopped. But hey, he's got an African heritage. So I can see why he thinks African lives are more important than Iraqi lives.

McCain supports the war but thinks it's been mismanaged. So for him I think "wasted" means that more soldiers have died than should have. I don't think he means that those soilders didn't accomplish anything of value but rather they could have done more good but didn't have the supplies/resources they should have had to keep them from getting killed.

So in that context I think McCain really didn't say anything particularly offensive against the troops.

So you think Saddam killing nearly 200 people a day is "stable?"

Like I said, as long as you can't see the problem, it doesn't exist. Maybe you can get Obama to help clear your mind by obliterating all those mass graves in Iraq.

Better that Saddam silently intentionally murder 200 innocent people a day than the American government accidently kill a handful of innocent people a day.

What do you think happen in Oman? Iran?
Their way of life is different than Occidental way of living.
In Soudi Arabia, you rape or murder, you get your head off on the public place. Results: average of 6 murders/rape/years

What Saddam did is not nice, for sure. It has also nothing to do with terror.
And we try to deal with terror. The war in Iraq is mistargeted...

2,000,000 people murdered by Saddam's government which reigned for 27 years equals ~203 people a day on average.

Well the majority of those were due to uprisings and take over attempts. But I am not going to argue with you, I agree he was not a very nice leader. I just thought you were talking about people he ordered or had killed directly.

Waw...it's a lot. Do you think they were all muslims? I mean Qu'ran followers?
Where it is said that all non muslims are infidels, and the infidels must be killed, and even, when you die killing infidels (like me - I'm atheist), you go to heaven to get your 69 virgins or 72 or whatever...???
Did Saddam saved a lot of infidels?

Who are your "us" and where is your "here?" You don't give any impression with your posts that you are, in fact, an American. Were you not aware of that?
