Don't be evil, right?

Recently Google seems to becoming more and more like the big brother corporations of the past and present. Some things that are in the news now especially buying an older TM application once they realized someone submitted for Gmail before them. All the patent issues with Orkut. I'm a big fan of the traffic and revenue it brings me, but recently I've just been sorta bummed out about Google:(

    Am I alone here?

Im behind you in every word!

I love google, and the money they bring me! But damn, they are taking over to much! it's kind of scary thinking of the fact that they pretty much control the internet!

Really? I read an article about it stating that YouTube did sell itself to Google for millions of dollars already. That probably explains why there's still Google Videos...

Look at the date.. October 2006. If you're going to claim that the deal did not (or will not as these things sometimes do take time) go through, you need to provide some backup...

Yeah google definitely bought youtube. I don't like google controlling so much either. They seem to have an elitist attitude to me.

The clever thing about it is that Google bought YouTube for $1.65 Billion in stock, so after they brought them their share price went up and they got a lot of their money back.

I remember that. A lot of analysts were speculating that google paid too much but now all the other media companies are trying to start or acquire video sharing sites
