SAW4.net - Saw 4 The Movie Fan Site - $42 from AdSense in its first month

How do you figure that out? www.saw4.name or www.saw4.tl would rank just as well in SE terms. Wouldn't look as pretty, but would do just as well in SEs.

 

TLD makes difference in Google's criterias. I don't know very well about others.

Your site does not have any original content, it is full of ads, only one page and you want to get 700?
What makes you think that i can t buy a domain and register a similar site?

I could make that amount from AdSense in 2 months anyway. And if no one buys it, I don't really care It's not a must for me to sell this site, I would just sell it if I got a reasonable offer.

Now, you are right but you can't buy a domain like saw4.net. Can you? No you can't find a good domain for it except saw4.biz and saw4.us. They're not so good when you compare them with .net though.

 

Oh ok. So only serious bidders for a not so serious seller. Makes sense.

I was a serious potential buyer. I was simply telling you I'm no longer interested.

And by the way, the TLD of the domain has absolutely no effect/weight on it's SE ranking performance.

The site is SOLD for $900 to a private bidder. I wonder what those guys now think who said that the site wouldn't worth so much money

But in all seriousness, congrats on the sale. I was following this quietly, and was impressed at the sale price as well, though not at all surprised.

Like all things, everything is worth what someone will pay for it in the end. It is impossible to put a finger on the value and or earning potential, however, when the right buyer (should say, willing buyer) meets willing seller, anything is possible, and any price obtainable.
