What's the most competitive keyword? I've done few searches and found free with the highest search results - 1,760,000,000,
Highest # of search results doesn't mean it's the most competitive. As far as difficulty in ranking I'm not sure, but I know legal and medical-related keywords cost a lot PPC.
these are more expensive words school loan consolidation --- $69.16 college loan consolidation --- $68.35 car insurance quotes --- $66.88 school consolidation --- $66.29 auto insurance quotes --- $65.90 college consolidation --- $64.04 and you can check which is FREE with some tools like this http://www.cached.it/english/keyword-difficulty.php
The reason being, they have a very high profit margin. If 100 people click and 1 person signs up, it could pay off the advertisements 10x... I'm pulling numbers out of my butt, but that's how it works.
The problem with those keywords (and the reason I haven't gotten into them) is that it's much harder to be popular with, say, "mesothelioma networking" than some MySpace niche. The competition is also much, much more difficult... I can only imagine how many people are fighting for top rankings when they could be earning $100 a click!
i gree ,to promote these most expensive keywods is not a good choice, every one knows these keywords which commonly canont give you a good ROI from it.
wwwhome , maybe they a bad choices for adwords but not for organic seo if u have the skills to take it to the top of google
so if adwords are paying 65 bucks does that mean adsense is paying 30 bucks a click???????? I wonder what the adsense payout is for auto insurance quotes?
Car Insurance Quotes for $66 a click. That is ridiculous? Question is though - how much of the pie would Google give you?
So are you saying you are unlikely to have these ads show up on your site unless you are a top search result for the term?
