I have downloaded a theme. Pls advice how to I install it.

 

I have installed a new theme.
Next I need to how to replace http://mobilesblog.info/?p=4 id with a name, using mode rewrite. Pls advice.

 

To rename your pages goto your admin panel then goto options then permalinks.

Select custom and enter this into the text box /%category%/%postname% then save your settings.

This will give your posts a url of youblog.com/catname/post-title (catname will be the name of your category and post-title the title of your post)

I have done that. I get the message: You should update your .htaccess now.

On the blog I get page cannot be found.

You need to CHMOD your .htaccess file to 666 (you can do this through your FTP client)

Wordpress can sometimes kick your but. Im trying to edit the css files form a template....late nights lol....so not fun.

i would strongly recommend wordpress.
get a php hosting with mysql (some host come with blog script). download wordpress and install it in less than 10 minutes.. ooo, wordpress have a easy steps manual for that.

finally find a free templates and upload to your blog. bravo!!
