Can someone tell me what are the other ads that I can place on a Site containing adsense without breaking the TOS.
AFAIK, using any ad that doesn't mimic the look and feel of Adsense is O.K. But you cannot use YPN as it will be against YPN TOS. So before you put multiple ads, check that both the services allow it.
Any ad network that DOES NOT "look" like Adsense. They've recently changed their policies to allow you to put, say, Kontera or Vibrant Media ads on your site because it looks nothing like Adsense ads. Meanwhile, YPN ads still look like Adsense ads, and aren't allowed. So basically, if it LOOKS like an Adsense ad, it isn't allowed on the same site that's running Adsense.
I've been under the impression that if your Yahoo ads have different color links than the AdSense ads, then the "look and feel" are different.. any input?
I don't think so, because YPN and Adsense ads are identical in look except for the "ads by" part. When they say "mimic" their look, that's what they meant. At least that's how I understand it. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. If you want to use it, I'd email them and then post the answer here.
Actually, I think the problem with Yahoo! and AdSense come from the Yahoo! TOS which don't allow other ads running with Yahoo's one. I'm not sure though
Hi Monty and jackburton2006, My name is Jack. I am an account manager here at Kontera. Both Google and YPN allow Kontera ContentLinks to be palced on the same pages. ContentLinks are in-text and are allowed. We have over 10,000 publishers using our ContentLinks and other forms of advertising. Give us a try!
YPN and other contextual ads are not allowed, and there are many affiliate programs you can join to add their ads to your sites( except popups popunders, I woul´n`t use them).
You can now have kontera ads on your site without this pageviews condition.Someone told me this.Guess it was on John Chow blog...Need to verify though
