Hello everyone! I have a quite serious goal i REALLY need to accomplish. Which is to be averaging atleast $24 a day as soon as possible. I own a few decent sites now. http://www.FreeMobileCrap.com , http://www.IncentiveSiteScript.com ( custom coded script, will start selling... ), http://www.ItsaProxy.com , http://www.iMadeaFunny ( custom coded script, can resell )and some older ones i havent touched for a while ( funstash.com , coolvideoz.com , sweetgamez.com, ffilehost.com, a2host.com ) etc. But revenue is minimal due to me slacking off for a while now and not too much traffic. - I don't care if i get around $100 every 5 or so days, just want it to average out to ~$25 a day. This is super important to me. What im asking for is some help in achieving this goal. Im thinking about improving my iMadeaFunny.com script, and reselling both iMadeaFunny script and ISSv1 ( IncentiveSiteScript.com ). Along with running some of my sites on the side. But i would appreciate your input on the easiest way to achieve this with hopefully the resources i already have as posted above. Thanks!
If it was actually a 'serious' goal, you woudn't be slacking off. Quick, get out of da business!!! Get a real job!!!!
my advice : start working, and focus on one site only for a while, improve it (say, in march you work almost exclusively on whatever.com) then you get to another site.
Thanks, Mr. Planet Zeekois - Im sure thats not immature/slacking off. Guys im asking for helpful posts, if your going to let your immaturity override your post, please leave.
What are you dong now to promote your sites? Are these site monetized? -(Ads..etc. on there?) Desmond
I agree with Nintendo - the only way make those goals is to work hard and be ready to re-invest some of the proceeds into growing your 'empire' even bigger. I was really interested in this thread as $20/day is my goal, and while I'm a long way off I'm learning something new every day and getting closer to that goal. I unfortunately picked too narrow a niche with my first site, but have 2-3 more on the horizon that will hopefully get me there. donthate - how exactly are you planning on monetizing these sites? Only itsaproxy.com seems to have ads, but the site seems broken on my end, so why would users go there? freemoblecrap.com (how the heck could you not find a better domain name than that?) has a 'your add here' box, bit neither adsense or most legit advertisers will want anything to do with a page with adult content. Incentivesitescript seems 1/2 done and imadeafunny is (IMHO) shoddily done. So here's my advice: 1) You've got to knuckle down and get a site polished and done. Attractive, useful and with a bit of SEO. 2) promote the site - you know directory postings, recip links, buying ads - whatever floats your boat 3) monetize the site - either adsense, an affiliate program, or direct ad sales maybe a mix of all three. 4) Profit. Take some of your earnings and re-invest. Donate some to a worthy cause as well, because you'll need the blessings/karma, etc. Now, I'm averaging ~ $1.00 a day so a heck of a lot of cred I have to be giving you advice. However, I have a plan (10 sites over the next 6 months in well researched niches), am working my rear off (3-4 hours a night after my day job and getting the kids tucked in) and have been soaking up as much knowledge as I can (DP is great - thanks everyone for so giving so much help without ever being asked for it!). Personally, looking at your sites you seem to have some decent programming skills, but your design skills are.... lacking. I'd team up with a designer or go the freelance programmer route.
IMO he gave you a helpful post. If you're serious at all, you shouldn't be doing any slacking off. $25/day is easy, but you can't slack and expect to get it. I just clicked all your links to your sites, and none of them look good, and a couple aren't even showing anything (your proxy just shows an ad, and imadeafunny isn't even running). You can't expect to make money with sites that don't exist . I'd suggest starting with new resources. Pick 1 field, concentrate on it, and then work hard at it.
There are ebooks, courses, and paid forums dedicated to helping you achieve your goals...it's called Internet Marketing. The point is, it's nearly impossible for anyone to give you specific details on what to do because it's such a HUGE subject and everyone's situation is unique. Having said that, I can pass along two gems that I live by and they have served me very well. Regardless of what you do everyday just make sure you do one of two things: 1. Add content to your website (or improve it) 2. Get backlinks to your website You'll be amazed at how such a simple formula can be so effective over time. This formula has generated $30/day for me with just one website. Everyday I make sure I do at least 1 or 2 - and usually both - before I do anything else. It works...I promise. Travis
donthate IMO, tvanslooten gave you the best advice, from my experience he/she is absolutely right, you need to write good "unique" content and get backlinks, but, also, improve or implement title tag, description tag, keywords, use bold, italicize, this mean SEO, and of course, work, much work. Cheers Dr Web
What skills do you have as a coder/programmer? You mentioned that you made those scripts, so I assume that you are pretty good with that stuff? If you only want $24/day, I bet you could get hired to do some work. Heck, depending on your skills, I'd probably hire you for that plus some. Brian
You know what you should do? Start accepting criticism. Oh, there's an idea! He was right, you need to do your work. Here's a suggestion, go get a book.
I just clicked on a few of those links and they still appear to be down, are you having server troubles or something as you could have had alot more feedback if these sites had been running.
3 out of your 4 links were down when i checked What i would suggest is to look back briefly on what you have been doing so far as find out what is working and what isn't with regards to promoting the sites. The goal you have is refreshingly realistic, its not like its way out there, i would definately follow much of the advice from the others in this thread too. Maybe take a different approach if you find that one thing or more are not bringing the desired results and as someone mentioned working on one site mostly to get things moving then onto your next i think is good advice.
Haha. There's valuable advice in Nintendo's post, you just have to laugh at the sarcasm and then think about the problem he's pointing out. The simplest way to make more money would be to put some effort into your ventures instead of slacking off like you admitted to doing. (And I know from experience - I slack off and it does not help my income )
One thing i woulsd sugest is is joining a good affiliate programme or something like, which have seminars and training, boy these get you worked up good and proper and or full of help and info from people already doing it.
