Maybe these guys are a little more fed up with our insane leaders than some of us here huh?

Of course these guys will just be quickly and quietly replaced.

Gotta love those anonymous sources who are not sure if it's 4 or 5 anonymous generals and admirals who will do such.

So you are suggesting to let Iran continue arming terrorists, provide training and equipment to terrorists? And if so, and it's clear those terrorists are targeting civlians (those brave virgin seeking mujahadeen are even targeting kids), then you are not concerned at all with the people of Iraq?

Well lets hope they talk first because talking is good, and it saves many people being killed.

I do recall Ahmedinejad offered Bush to a live television debate last year in September but Bush turned it down because Ahmedinejads English was better than his. :(

They don't want to talk, they want the fookin oil!!!

Are you referring to the da'wa that Amedinejad sent? An invitation to convert to islam, or die?

No, I'm talking about this one mate.

But Bush refused, all Bush wants (notwithstanding the disaster in Iraq and Afghanistan ) is to take over the Middle East.

I'd refuse too, if your hero sent me a da'wa. You'd probably just convert, eh?

Iraq is a disaster for your buds.

Iraq is a disaster for your hero mate, face facts. It ain't going to get any better for him either.

What a legacy he is going to leave when his sorry ass departs the White House next year. 9/11 happened less than a year into his first term and since then all but the absolute blind can visibly see how things have just got worse and worse.

You know Gtech... one day you will understand politics, then you will come here and apologize for all the crappy posts you ever made.

Till that Day... I will be here laughing... :)

I just wonder if your going to wake up one day and realize that nothing is what it seems... That the media isn't there to tell us what is happening.. it's there to tell us what the leaders want us to know...

Did you get all those preprogrammed phrases in there? :D

Oh wait, I have a good one!

"you get all your news from the media!"

I love that one! When nutjobs try to use the "get your news from the media" line, only to discover their position on Iraq most reflects that of the media's willfully biased coverage!

No worries, AGS, your buds are not winning in Iraq. I know that causes you great discomfort. And it looks like your buds are intentionally targeting children again too. But not a peep...

it seems that neocons are losing some influence.
gates has brought a clarity of vision and with the democrats in control of the congress the future seems to be going in a better direction.i hope it will continue and eventually lead to a better relationships in ME. i also think that china and Russia are not very cooperative either
the best case scenario in my opinion is an open relationship with iran which includes a complete inspection of their nuclear program
if we could verify our treaties with the soviets we should be able to keep an eye on the iranians.
also i would imagine that within a few years they would be able to open their society to a level that is good for everyone.
looking at china we can see that any form of government can evolve to be more responsive to its people and in case of iran because of the age of their religious leader this might be archived pretty fast
of course we can start a new war kill a million people and get a few thousands of our young men and women killed i guess some people feel that is the Christian way.
as far as this guys treat to Israel, i just don't see it credible so it does not scare me no matter what he said

Ah, yes! Up is down, down is up, good is bad, bad is good, black is green, white is red and every day is opposite day.

And politics means dropping by in a post to insult someone. I see you are leading by example ;)

    Anything else, King?

The media is there to make money. It is also there to report what the journalist want you to know.

However, in the end, it's up to the employer what people he want to hire. Many employers prefer journalists of there own ideology, hence the patterns. They also have guide lines to follow, in order to keep their consumer-base. For example, a car magazine should includes articles that people with car interests like if they want to keep the consumer base.

There's a lot of western media that is critical to western leaders&governments, especially Bush. Many people like to read such articles, so they sell well and gives a reason to the media to produce more such.

Media can give you a hint of what's happening in the world. If you're really interested in the truth, you can critically check up a specific detail of interest and compare it with other sources etc, etc..

How is the situation in Lebanon/Syria?
Is there lot's of different political opinions depending from journalist to journalist or magazine to magazine?
How open minded is the public to different opinions?
