It all depends on if you make site map and submit it and what sites link to your site.

If you have a good site that links to a brand new site you could get listed in 2 days. if not some sites take months. Some sites get spidered every few days and if you get listed on one your site will be listed fast.

Traffic depends on search results and terms you get ranked high in.

1.Make ur XML, ROR site maps & submit the Xml site map in google,
2.Start link exchange with ur relevant sites,
3.Write articles on ur services/products & submit it in article submission direcdtories giving one link to ur site map whick makes ur site crawl faster.
4.First choose some less competitive keywords & try to get ur site up in those keywords.

I think these points can help u

yes all too often people try to rank their brand new site for very competitive keywords - and expect fast results. stick with longer tail kws first, build your traffic and get faster results

It would depend on the ranking of your site. If your site keyword is often search on google and it has rank.

getting great results on organic needs time.. for some maybe.. depends on how much traffic drive for that keysearch.. also some good options like Adwords, and advertising really help..
