Anytime anyone finds bible contradictions, or disgusting acts of hate or violence, it's ALWAYS taken out of context according to the fundies. Please tell me how it's taken out of context.
The very first cartoon. It shows Jesus in heaven and some guy right? The "blissful contentment by my side" is not a Bible teaching. Secondly, most of those things mentioned do not contradict the Bible at all in #3. Cartoons #4 and #5 are completely taken out of context. #6...ROFL...suicidal pigs....ROFL....did you even read that verse or the verses leading up to that event? #'s 7 and 8 are referring to the selected number to co-rule with Jesus in heaven as stated in the book of Revelation. You know. It is so easy to pick on anything that is written. I remember a thesis written and published in a University a couple of years ago stating all the verses that lead towards Jesus being gay. It was completely ridiculous in actuality but in theory it had its points. You are bringing out nothing different here. It all depends on how you want to see it. That shows what is in your heart. In my heart I don't see the points brought out in that cartoon. I have a great appreciation for the gift that has been given me. That gift is called "The Truth". Unless you look into it with an open mind you will always see it differently. Col
What do you mean? Is it God's will to watch the video? To not watch the video? To choose to watch or not watch? Col
It's my choice. Or, you could see it's my free will. I have no need to do so. There is nothing on that video that I would want to watch. In fact, I hardly watch any movies or even TV anymore. It's full of rubbish these days. Col
Yea the history channel, discovery channel etc is full of rubbish. With such topics as evolution, the history of humans, and get this dinosaurs programs that don't show humans at ALL! Can you believe they say the earth is more than 6 thousand years old!?!? The nerve of these blasphemous sinners! Seriously it's no wonder why you're so ignorant. You've chosen that path.
The evidence of God is everywhere, look around at the sun, the sky the sea and your family. Most importantly, it is written in your heart. God is love. God is peace. God is good, all the time. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, there are many accounts of his life and miracles even by atheists. God gives you free will to choose to believe in Him or not. He doesn't want to throw Himself at you... He wants you to come to Him by your own volition. If you choose not to take the leap of faith it takes to believe in Him you will never know the beauty of His holiness. If you want to know if God exists, draw near to Him. He will draw near to you. Thanks for asking this question!!! Christ is King!!! Amen.
You are talking about Pay TV. I am talking about FTA TV. I have never had Pay TV. I did say "I hardly watch any TV anymore". That does not mean I don't watch any TV. Pull your head in a bit and read what I said correctly before labelling me OK?? Here you are thinking I believe the earth is not more than 6,000 years old or I believe there were no dinosaurs. What makes you think this? Isn't this jumping the gun a bit? I am hardly ignorant. I address as many questions as I can and try my best not to judge or predetermine what people are like, like you are doing to me here. Go have a cup of tea and rethink your thoughts before kicking your tongue into gear. Col
If you don't think the earth is only thousands of years old, you don't follow the bible. If you don't think dinosaurs and humans co-existed you don't follow the bible. If you don't follow the bible you're going to hell.
Sorry to say this. You have no idea what you are saying. The Bible does not teach the earth is only 6,000 years old. The Bible does not teach that humans and dinosaurs co-existed. The Bible also does not teach that hell exists. Is there anything else you don't know about the Bible? Col
While it doesn't directly say it, it can be inferred. If you made a time line of the bible, it's roughly ~6,000 years. Hence why millions of evangelicals believe the earth is 4-10k years old. If you believe the whole earth in 7 days nonsense, it says that "Walkers" were created on the 6th day. Included in walkers is "Adam" (man) and "Animals" (Dinosaurs). Seems clear to me. http://www.beliefnet.com/story/80/story_8066_2.html
The 6,000 years timeline is only for mankind's history. Recorded events in the Bible show this. I know many believe that the earth was created in 6 literal days. Science shows that to be virtually impossible. The "days" mentioned in that part of Genesis are periods of time. What length of time we can never know. I see you checked up on the word "Gehenna". Very good. Few check this even after I ask them to before quoting the hell doctrine. Gehenna was an actual dump in the land of Hinnom. Revelation uses this burning in an extinguishing sense. Like an incinerator to completely destroy all evidence of existence. Revelation shows us this is what will happen to those who suffer the second death. As if they were thrown onto the dump at the Land of Hinnom. Col
