yeah, SU traffic is a pesky animal to figure out but so is google, yahoo etc... I'd like to throw another link out there (definately a slam on social BMs ... Digg in particular) http://www.webpronews.com:80/topnews/topnews/wpn-60-20070206AbandonSocialMediaWhileYouStillCan.html True, 5 seconds is bad. My sites are all arcade/humor so they were natually more "sticky" and over half of them left the way they came in - not cool -unless they left via an ad which some of them definately did
up to 69 actives and almost 5k SU's mini forum is done next up is some enhancements to reporting and a reverifier
still looking for new members...once you join, click verify stumbles and any stumbles you have done via other networks will be updated.
fixed a problem in SU verification due to SU changing their underlying contents. system went through and auto-verified all current members to "catch up" up to 75 actives and 9600+ stumbles
you can do as much stumbling as you want, your link is shown as soon as you stumble once. Once you register, the first thing you will want to do is click "Verify Stumbles" to verify stumbles you might have done yourself or via another network. Another nice thing: we show last login and #stumbles for each link you are presented with so you can pick and choose which links you will stumble. The more you stumble the more links you get into the system. These are given during our user purge routine every few weeks. Thanks, Tim
Keeping users active is always a challenge, but this provides an excellent incentive. It would be good to have a target displayed: "Only 6 more stumbles and you'll earn an extra link at the next purge". That would certainly help to keep me motivated! Riatsala
inactive users links purge has happened added links to those who deserved them ... if you have more than 75 stumbles and didn't get a second link let me know. If you are already in an exchange and join avuw.com any links you already stumbled that are already in Avuw too will be counted with the "Verify my Stumbles" link. Thanks, Tim
Great site - i'd recommend people don't try to make the decision whether to use this or StumbleExchange - use both!! By doing so, already this month i've racked up over 300 uniques from stumbleupon, which is really good considering I only use those services once a day for a few minutes.
Thanks for the info. Is it the same as stumbleupon? It will surely increase traffic? I will try that.
had a nice little growth spurt ... up to 99 users and 13,000+ stumbles. took out some more advertising. REMEMBER: if you are in an exchange Avuw will credit any duplicate links already stumbled just click "Verify my Stumbles".
