    Hi all-

What do you think is the best free keyword research tool? I'm especially interested something that shows the KEI. I'm wanting to set up some new domains and while I will probably sign up for WordTracker for a few days, I'm looking for a good free tool for some preliminary research.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I've heard from many that the KEI isnt accurate and to not make your decision off that. Well, wordtracker just came out with a free tool so I use that.

Well, isn't KEI a rough indicator of competition? I wouldn't use it by itself.

I think the reason is the link above yours where I quoted the SEO solution which helped me, does everything goodkeywords.com's application does and more (at least the free version) and theres nothing to install.

Has anyone tried the Good Keywoords software? it is a free software tool for finding suitable keyword sets. It also gives you relevant combinations of a word.
This software uses different tools provided by Google, MSN, Ask and other search engines like them.
Good Keywoords is a freeware and it doesn't ask you for payments or registrations.
The good thing about it is that it also takes into account the possible spelling mistakes.

Sure, the one that I've just written about not only has the phrase building tools but site and link popularity meters. You can survey in depth the KEI of each phrase you work with.
