Still not indexed in Google and Yahoo. What is interesting is that some backlinks are starting to disapear both from msn and yahoo.

 

Forums Signatures are really helps indexing pages, because your pointing one way link in a certain page of your site. Also in that way your site gaining traffics especially in a popular forums like DP.

 

Disappearing? That's weird. Could some of the signatures have been removed from some posts? I recall there were 2 others in addition to yours!

 

have u tried another forum? might need better links

I have checked and this is not that case, both still have the link in their sig

Just as I write this msn appears to show twice as many backlinks today. It previously showed 415 for the last 4 days or so. Prior to that it had shown 460+.Today it is showing 965! There appears to have been a 7 day gap where msn didn’t update any new links for the blog. Interesting.

Links In Yahoo steadily grow, even though a few links disappear evey time I look. The number of new posts is enough to displace the disappearing ones.

The current number of backlinks stands at 2100.

I would presume that different forums might help indexing as well as overall number of backlinks, however I have not have an account on another forum that doesnt have the No follow tag for sigs Therefore I cannot try this.

 

I believe it will eventually get indexed from backlinks just from this DP forum. Question is how soon! It will be worth the wait to make this experiment succesful.

 

Today backlinks are at 2136 and still not indexed in google or yahoo.

As you might have guessed, a few more links but still not indexed!

 

This experiment should have been called "The SEO power of Digital Point forum back links experiment". You have exactly 4 non-dp forum backlinks, 2 of which are scraper sites, and 2 of which come from another forum---neither of which are indexed by google.

So, what's that tell ya? DP is not passing external link juice. Surprised?... I sincerely hope not.

 

I'm disappointed I thought this site was going to be indexed fast...

True, a scarper site picked up the blog but it shouldnt interfere that much.

Its been almost a month and google or yahoo haven’t indexed the blog so I think its safe to say forum links wont get you indexed and carry very little value. I guess we can end the experiment.

 

I guess you are right. Thanks for all your efforts. It's been a worthwhile experiment. Please let us know when & if it does get indexed.

 

just before this experiment dissapears, I did a link: check on Yahoo and it is currently showing 1,301 links to the site....and it still hasn't been found!?

 

yes tahts correct, 1301, im sure its been found just not indexed. Id presume a site requires a set amount of links from different sources before it is indexed.

 

nope, just 1 link is all that's needed to get indexed, I have a funny feeling that the site may of been penalised in some way as Yahoo shows all those links, but your not in the index, pretty suspicious.

Your hosted in America on a .com domain that's 7 years old (whois it) so that means you should appear in search-engine.com but Yahoo and Google don't like you, even though you have 1,301 links!?

 

The reason is sig links are worth nothing.
