Can you use both adsense and YPN on the same site?

If not on the same page, what if I were to put YPN on the index page, and to use adsense on all of the internal pages - is that a violation?

It's against YPN TOS to display their ads on the same page as AdSense. Could have different ads on different pages, but it could get complicated. AdSense are more relaxed about it and now allow you to display competing ads on the same page as long as they don't look the same as AdSense ads.

Did not know adsense allowed ads on same page have to look at terms.

I would keep them on seperate pages any ways.

Yeah, that's a new policy. However, keep them on separate pages is always the safe way to go.

You can use Ad rotation to have both Adsense and YPN on the same page. Provided the YPN ad doesn't look like the google ad.

YPN and Adsense can't be put together at one page. But you can put YPN at another page which have no adsense ads inside.
According to the new Google's policy, another ads that being displayed at the same page with adsense ads must not "mimic" or have the similar layout with adsense ads.

AFAIK, Google now allows competitor ads on the same page, provided it does not mimick the look and feel of Google Ads. But since Yahoo still don't allow competitor ads, its not possible to have Yahoo and Google ads on the same page as its againts Yahoo TOS. Other than that, I don't think there is any problem with using both the ads on the same site.
Can you plz say whose new policy it is?

Adsnese TOS are modified slightly last month and now we can place ads other than adsense on the same page, but "THEY SHOULD NOT LOOK LIKE SAME, AND VISITORS CAN DIFFERENTIATE B/W ADSENSE ADS AND XYZ ADS"

I'd rather have a link to a page on google.

I think it's a mute discussion for me. All of my sites except one do not qualify for YPN because of the type of content (I think anyway). The one site that does happens to be the one making my highest google revenue. I was thinking of replacing the front page with YPN as a trial since everyone says they pay much higher rates, but really, it seems like a lot of trouble.

As for google forcing you to choose one or the other, I think that would be a foolish mood. Basically saying you can either have an existing provider with a deteriorating reputation, or the fresh new kid on the block that everyone says gives away lots of money - the choice is yours. I can see them saying similar ads on the same page, but to try to carry across the entire site would be foolish.

Thanks for the update, but from what I have read, there is still no way of being able to display both ad networks on the same page.

    AdSense Program Policies:

    Competitive Ads and Services
In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

Seems to say you can place competing ads as long as they don't look the same as AdSense elements. It's all as plain as mud (in typical AdSense fashion).

Not sure of the YPN rules, but my understanding is they don't allow competing ads on the same page as their ads.

I would never put Yahoo and Google ads on the same domain. Too many stories about tragedy with Google dropping adsense when that happens.

These days, it's easy to setup a new blog or typepad site or wordpress, etc. Buy a domain for $10 or less, setup a blog, and use Yahoo all over the place.

You can do the whole thing for practically nothing.
