I had been sitting on the idea of working for a company for a while now and finally just today found a position I am interested in applying for. It seems a pretty laid back company (not an agency or anything) so what would be appropriate to wear for the interview do you think? Would a nice business shirt with jeans be too dressed down, what do ya reckon?
i haven't been to interviews before, but dad (he's a HR director) says that the clothes you wear need reflect the position you are applying for(for instance if it's administrative, a suit is a must).
Slacks and a button down collared shirt which you could wear a tie with. Tie isn't required. No tennis shoes if possible.
Dude if I ain't getting the job for not wearing a tie, I don't want it Thanks for all the suggestions. Wish me luck!
White Shirt,Black Pant,Black Party Shoes....If u Wann a Look like Professional then add Silver Black/Blue Tie Tooo.........Very Good Loooking.....Get Set Go........
firstly good luck for the interview , since its a laidback company id recommend jet black trousers & shirt too , a white shirt will look really formal like some desk clerk.
i wore a buttoned shirt, jeans and my red chuck taylors to my last interview, and fortunately i got in.. i don't walk well in leather shoes, so i wore what im comfortable in. but definetely, yeah, better to overdress than underdress. you have to show dress good first, and then, once you're part of the team, that's when you can opt for more casual wear. at the end of the day, it's just how you carry yourself i guess.
a nice black skirt, 6 inches above the knee, black heals, white strapless top with make up applied well. hair flowing and smelling nice.
How about Formals ? Block Shirt with a good trousers and nice Perfume Hope you succeed in the Interview Best Wishes from Zerosleep but don't sleep during the Interview
As a frequent recruiter of both permanent and contract IT staff I'd say: Always be smart -- over-dressed is far better than under-dressed. A suit is a must and as the company is laid back I'd say you can forget the tie, that is unless you want to wear one & feel comfortable wearing one.
