If you hide keywords in your code, does this help in SEO at all? An example would be, if you downloaded a free template they would have <!------ made by so and so------> would that help them? What if you made codes that said <!----keywords, keywords----> would they help with your SEO? Note: these codes don't effect your HTML or do they appear on your site. They're just visible to those who edit or look at the HTML code
Thanks. I wasn't sure the point of people adding those notes in.. I guess it's for placing notes for the webmaster. I only use them for organizing what set of codes belong to which part of the site
I thought I read somewhere that Google is now paying attention to CSS code because many people were actually doing that. Either way, I wouldn't do it. It's better in the long run to optimize your site the right way instead of changing your site every month to reflect new algorithm changes, or starting new sites after your tactics get you banned.
while doing safe SEO is good, but Google won't ban you for minor on-page SEO, even with dup. content. If you are very into WH, I am sure you like to be super-defensive in your SEO, but getting banned is really the ultimate penalty by G, and it won't just happen for a small thing. It *may affect on your PR or ranking at SERPs though.
I see alot of people do it. If you just add keyords like that you will be banned sooner or latter google is gona get ya.
What do you mean by hiding the keywords in codes. I have seen some sites and when I use the view source to see the code for the site. I dont see any meta tags for the keywords. So, do you mean hiding these keyword meta tags. or is it something else.
