Hi there, Is there any good tool to determine the daily traffic/number of visitors per day of a website? Any help will be appreciated. Regards Bushra
Is it a site you own? If so, I really like AWSTATS, mint, and statcounter. If not, check out alexa and compete.
I am wondering though. Why the discrepancy between Google Analytics and AWstats? AWstats shows more visitors. Is Google simply better at filtering out the crap? I have bots blocked as good as I can already, so I can't imagine that there are still 40%-50% invalid visitors (AWstats almost shows twice the amount of visitors).
Google analytics is JavaScript based, awstats is logfile based so those that don't show up in G Analytics will in Awstats, like the ones that don't run javascript (cell phones, etc)
Now you're just being difficult There are also some people who block Google analytics and other javascript trackers, but they're mainly techies. Also, some bots will be picked up by awstats and counted as people And there are other reasons. You're best to use both together, but you can get more of an idea by doing a google search for 'logfile vs javascript web analytics'
I use Statcounter, the free version and it works fine. It's very straight forward and is easy to install the code. Nice control panel as well.
Hi there, I want little clarification in my question. Actually I want to know that what's the per day traffic of the other websites. How can I know it ? What's the daily traffic/visitors of any website. Regards Bushra
There is no tool that will give you an accurate accounting of other people's stats without direct access to the control panel of their website (or traffic counter). You can use Alexa, however, Alexa only tracks the traffic of those who are using an Alexa toolbar. Sorry
