I use web ceo for doing different types of ranking checks as well as monitoring backlinks, checking competition, indexed pages, etc. and I think it's great.

i don't think you can get as neat and in depth reports as is provided by web ceo but it depends on what your needs are. i'm keeping track of a lot of things and want a lot of details and history reports to track changes which aren't very good in any free tool i've come across.

its a great product if you need to keep an eye on hundreds of terms. otherwise I would just use DP's free rank checker.

it is rather buggy as well.

I found it very useful as well. But then I'm managing around 30 sites right now, so there's no way I can keep track of it using free tools.

I think it's pretty good for the price. But free isn't bad either.

I use it daily for running ranking reports. All the other functions I prefer to do manually, so I wouldn't buy it for those.

If you run a lot of sites it's a real timesaver.

And that's kind of the point. Yes, you can get free tools that will do much of the same thing. But, it's time consuming.

I could write webpages in Notepad, because after all it's free, right?

But, I still bought Dreamweaver, because its better for my needs.

I like WebCEO because it automates a lot of the stuff that I need. Now if I was only running 1-2 websites it might be a different story. But, I"m currently working on a few dozen, so I just can't be bothered doing all of those manually.
