How do you go about optimizing a site that is 90% graphics based with very little text? I want to start an e-zine but I don't know how to optimize the site... should I add alt tags for all of the images? (with a long description...)

    Thanks :)

Yes - add text to all of your alt tags, but no don't spam your alt tags with long desciptions.

can add content to the bottom footer area of the page - it's also a good way to get better internal linking and anchor texts if you hyper link in the paragraph.

Thanks for the tips :) So how much text is too much for alt tags? I'm assuming I can't paste the whole article in the alt tag....

So in general graphic heavy sites rank lower in SE than fully text based sites right?

just a small description is enough, not longer than a sentence and don't just put a string of keywords in your alt tags
