I put a banner rotator on my site at article-gems.com About 65 banners rotating courteousy of a linkscout banner rotator. Around 400-500 impressions each banner - between 5 - 10 each banner (low of 4 high of 15) - average CTR 2% Not one sale????? I'm I plain unlucky? Do I need to be more patient? Or is someone stealing my sales????????????????? Please Help.
well, are your banners related to the content of the page on which they appear? would your visitor interested by your banners - the offers promoted via these banners?
I understand what your saying, but obviously they are interested enough to click on the banner in the first place.
I wonder if the rotator hasn't got the code on properly. Can anyone suggest good free banner rotator that can take long encrypted affiliate codes?
Advertising is a game of numbers...give it a shot for some time. Also it pays to check the status of your codes.
yeah alstar, they clicked the banner, but the reason is curiosity and not because they are interested in that product. If the reason is curiosity you will see very low conversions for that product.
A lot of people ignore banners too. How does it look. A really obnoxious and annoying banner will just be tuned out by most people. Can you show us the banner?
The banners look really professional, maybe they just aren't in a visible enough area. Would they do better at the top?
Just because people click on ads doesn’t mean they want to buy. Why don’t you experiment with new things? See what works best for you.
well, i think the best you can do right now is wait. Then maybe some time if still it doesn't work try other approach. like placing them as links instead of banners.
I don't think you are being robbed. If you are new to this then it I find that it is harder to sell products on the web than to set up a shop and sell them offline. The thing about the web is that everybody expects to get things free or cheaply. The best thing to do is to keep trying different things out. Also, just because they click don't mean that they are interested. They could just be curious or interested and then find the price of the product or service is higher than what they wish to pay.
