did a simple search on ip2location 70.230.202.12 UNITED STATES US CALIFORNIA SAN DIEGO PPPOX POOL - BRAS5.SNDGCA
If you are using Cpanel (linux server) Follow easy steps to block any IP >> Goto Cpanel >> IP Deny manager >> Add desired IP and add it... as simpl as eating CAKE!!! also you can always let them access your site. Just go there again and remove the IP from IP deny list. :: Keep Peace :: Anurag
You may try to contact their ISP or Host. Please follow the link: http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ipall.ch?ip=70.230.202.12 Hope this help.
^^ that is sad because gennerally... ^^ that does nothing. Though, I do find that smaller ISP's will call or email you, and generally are more willing to work with both the consumer & webmasters about problemed consumers. I blame this on getting NO WHERE with AoL, and Comcast (twice), while getting a person banned from a small place called Jasnetworks (out of Michigan)...though the IP in this case is SBC/Ameritech...so good luck. *shrug* Though, I guess that if more of us tried, and if the same ISP was getting enough complaints about one person, that maybe it would help more. Very difficult to block an IP address anyway. If he has any sense he'll just reboot his modem and hey presto, 9 times out of 10 you have a different IP address.
hey thanks for you link and of others for your suggestions. I did use asrep to find out this guy IP, but i'm not sure whether he did clicked on my adsense. I think I would not report to google yet. Do you think that google sent out warning to me ? But for watever reasons, i will try anurag_online method to block this guy IP.. thanks again for helping
Well, you can look up the ISP find out how big their block is, and maybe block a /24 or /22 or something. Make it a little more difficult for him, but you run the risk of blocking legit users too. Since I run a site that is primarily for americans, if I get messed with from europe, i'll block a /16 or /8 =) For a while I had all of LACNIC, APNIC and RIPE blocked... lol... but that was a little excessive. --EDIT-- If he didn't click your ads, and just hit the same page 60 times in 3 minutes... who cares. If he's hitting different pages, he's probably scraping your content. If that is the case, he's not actually clicking through google, probably just set google as a referrer or something, so you wouldn't get too suspicious.
Maybe it's not a person, but a bot (crawler) trying to steal your content. Usually checking your logs you can detect if it's a person or a bot.
is there any software that automatically disable the ads from display for a particular IP let say after he click "x" times?
ya..currently i'm using it now, but adlogger require us to enter the IP manually while i'm thinking of any software that does that "automatically"?
hey hey do you use adword or adsense? may be he is trying to corrupt your account. report google and block that ip. but just blocking IP is not enough, he may try from another IP again. so report google immedietly
