    PR means Page rank, it is the points accumulated thru backlinks from higher PR site for more search forum+wiki
    SERP- Searching Engine Ranking Page, its means for a particular keyword, u have a page that shows up, the cut off point varies from 10 to 100 from person to person, that means, for a person a page raking in 10 is a SERP and for some if it comes in top 100 its a SERP

    PR- Page rank, if u have download google toolbar than u can see that.it is one of the factor to get good search ranking. PR is calculated bases of your back links. where as SERP (search engine result pages) is the search result which u get when search for your query. so u can get SERP easily but PR will take much time.

    if u want to know more than PM me i will send u more details

    cheers

    Well, you can get PR if you have more text contents and number of backlinks. While SERP is the positioning of your site for a specific keyword. If your site is properly optimize on-page and off-page. Your site can be on top of SERP.

    PR, Page Rank, is a ranking factor the Google gives if your site is pretty relevant enough. For somehow, it affects more on the sites that link you. If you're linked from CNN.com, better except a great PR. ;)

    SERP, Search Engine Result Pages, are the results displayed whenever you do organic search in Any search engine.

    For example, you search for term: paris hilton, then hit search.
    the list of sites displayed in a page is what mainly composes a SERP.

    i m not agree with u.pr is calculated only bases of back links.if u have more back links from higher pr pages than u will have high pr in next pr updates.it is not depend on content of the pages.:cool:

    PR is Page Rank of web page. Serp is search engine result page. Serp dispalys the result of search of any particular keyword

    I believe there are 3 factors about this discussion;
    1- as PR; we tend to speak Toolbar PR usually which does not represent the actual PR of a page since it changes timely when TBPR changes not sooner than every 3 months. Those 2 are only close during the period TBPR is updated(like a month ago)
    2- PR is only 1 factor affecting SERP's when there are tons. Like page title and keyword density are greatly important.
    3- There are tons of faked PR sites around so if you ever look into them comparing their PR and SERP rank, it will only confuse you. :)

    PR is a measurement of quality backlinks indexed by Google. SERP is a position in search results.

    I mean, better expect a great PR. (cant find the edit button :confused: )

    this has to be observed.

    but i kind of agree with this. it doesn't matter if you have a million words to say but all your BLs are crap. ;) And it really doesn't matter if you got a million words to say but all that you're saying is crap. :p
