Alright. I've searched the forum, couldn't find an answer. What's your favorite blogging software in terms of search engines? I'm pretty sure its either wordpress or typepad, i just want some affirmation before i start my company blog.
Wordpress all the way. tons of plugins and everyone uses it, so there are a lot of people to help with any questions...
I like Blogger. It is provided by Google now. Very easy to use or set up. You don't need to worry about backing up any files or databases. Everything is stored elsewhere.
I'll go with WordPress also, so easy to customize with the permalinks and the templates at alexking's site are good to get something up quickly
I've only used Blogger. My blog is now stored on my own server instead of Google's. I think I'm good for now. If you know what you're doing however, I'm sure Wordpress would be best. But for people like me Blogger gets the job done.
wordpress, because of all the plugins available. I guess blogger would be easier for someone who is not so technical
Can someone clarify the rules regarding adsense on WordPress blogs. I have a wordpress.com account and the TOS state that I can't put adsense in the blog but I know I've seen adsense on wordpress templates. If I install the software on my own server and use my own domain name, can I place adsense code on my site?
Another vote for Wordpress from me! Absolutely fantastic admin interface which is just a breeze to work with. Wordpress also makes for a very good -- albeit light-weight -- CMS too.
wordpress all the way for its flexibility and independency blogger is ok when you host it on your on domain. otherwise you might get your account shut down for no apparent reason and it will take you ages to get it back.
blogger.com is the best but there also some good blogging software site like alkablog.com,20-six.co.uk these site index your blog easily by search engines
You can do anything ,if you set up wordpress on your own host. But on wordpress.com, you do not allow adsense. Wordpress is best. It's convenience to manage things and also they're many plugins available with easy to install.
Well I thought word press was the best, but my blog was hacked and my host kept no backup so I lost a couple of weeks of blog posts. I was mad! Supposedly word press can be hacked quite easily.
I'm not to sure anymore... Maybe if the blog was on word press.com but I want it on my own site which has a pr 2 and it is scheduled to be a 5!
Definitely has to be WordPress for me, you can set-up search engine friendly URL's so easily and as everyone else has mentioned it has some great plugins and is very easy to manage. I'd recommend having your own install mind rather than using wordpress.com - always better that way
