hmmm, it wouldn't be worth much more than reg though. The z and .us really make it pretty unmemorable. But prove me wrong! I would love to hear you get thousands for it....
I understand the argument that "z" shouldn't replace "s", but you have to realize that there are a few words where it is actually a recognized replacement, and Gamer is one of those words. http://www.gamerz-edge.com/ http://www.gamerz.be/ http://www.gamerzplanet.net/ http://www.awesomegamerz.com/ http://www.freewebs.com/gamerzworld/ http://extreme-gamerz.org/ The list goes on.... Also, replacing s with z isn't always a bad thing. Stockz.com just sold for $25,000 Thank you for your appraisals. Any more would be appreciated!
Results 1 - 100 of about 1,220,000 for "gamerz" OVT 500 Personalized Results 1 - 100 of about 45,200,000 for "gamers" OVT 4300 This would indicate that there are indeed surfers who like to use the "z". .us is not that bad of a extension either. It gets treated the same in the search engines as dot com. Dot com is just more brandable and gets the typins. Gamers.net sold for $4,000 a couple years back. Gamerz.us would be worth 1/50 of that price because of the "z"
Why do you guys think that? There are only 3 tiers of domains. Dot com sits on the top tier by it's self. SexToys.us sold for $50,000 not to long ago..
Just because a domain sells well doesn't necessarily mean it's worth that much, and just because people don't say it's worth much doesn't mean it won't sell well. Replacing an "s" with a "z" will always lower a domains value by a lot, even when the word is "Gamerz." It's just my opinion, as most appraisals are. Take it for what it's worth.
No dot com is tier 1 .com is what is tattooed into peoples minds. Dot com is what recieves typins .info .org .net .us .biz, etc. are all in the same class and they depend on how you use the extension. While .net is the most popular tier 2 extension there is not much difference. There is no way that pimping.org is better then pimping.biz Or that americans.org is better then americans.us It all depends on how you use the extension. research.info, research.org I'll take anything in spanish .es over .net and .org. etc Things like ".tw.org" and various extensions that are weighed low in the search engines are final tier. BTW, it doesn't look like the website was much of a factor in the sale of sextoys.us..
Yes if it was "investmentz" then it would be a huge problem. But there is a established sub culture that actually use "gamerz" as a word. That is what I was trying to establish by showing the numbers and the numbers my friend do not lie
My point exactly. I wouldn't have registered this name unless this was the case. When you see something that is registered in every other extension, and the word is as popular as this, in my opinion it's not a bad reg. It cost me $7.29 to register, and I have a year to do something with it. I understand what is being said about the .us extension, the market is kind of slow right now. But this seems to be the case with a lot of extensions due to the .mobi rush. That just makes this the perfect time to register names that have potential, that way when .us gets back in the spotlight, you'll have some gems pull out of the vault. I've picked up DubaiCity.biz, VXE.us, RCcars.us and Vern.us using the same philosophy. Thanks for all of your appraisals so far!
