Accuracy of reported figures

I just noticed an alarming discrepancy in the figures reported by adsense and wondered if anyone can explain it.

I checked my figures and they said (example figures given):

    impressions: 650
    clicks: 12
    earnings: $1.65

An hour later, I checked again and they reported these figures:

    impressions: 724
    clicks: 15
    earning: $1.61

The obvious explanation would be that on the second instance I connected to a different box than the first. But I discounted this explanation on account of (i) a little over an hour between checking and presumably enough time to replicate any data; (ii) I assume all three fields are in sync with respect to time and therefore if the impressions is updated, the corresponding value for the earnings should be shown.

Do they apply some sort of correction?

    Any ideas?

Ah yes, that's a possibility. However, if it were a repeat click would it have been "put on" in the first place? Also, I have adlogger installed and configured quite tightly (I know that is not 100% accurate, but it does help.)

    Cheers!
